Thoughtfullessness
03:59
|
|||
Locked inside a tiny bubble
Were you safe from all of life's troubles
But still not too content in all respects.
Everybody is talkin'
And everybody is hopin'
But still no way to express
The thoughtfullessness
Of everything you've ever hoped to prove.
What can we do?
What can we say?
What can we change
To bring some light back in our days?
If one thing's for sure, we'll never know
And in the end we'll have to let these feelings go.
Trapped inside a silver lining
In a cloud where someday you may find me
Locked away from all these answers
In a skull that sings but never dances
And it's so easy to confuse
The love with the abuse
But heaven knows, we'll never make it on our own
What can we do?
What can we say?
What can we change
To bring some light back in our days?
If one thing's for sure, we'll never know
And in the end we'll have to let these feelings go.
'Cause you never know
Can never be so sure
We could be all alone
We could all be walking through the door
In someone else's dream
Tryna' make some sense of everything we've seen
Talking through that hole in the back of our heads
As quiet voice repeats, "We've all been misled"
But wasn't it good?
Hey, it was all good
But wasn't it good?
At least as good as we could.

Could've Been
03:37
|
|||
Could've been a tragedy
Could've been lost at sea
Somehow we found our own way out
Could've been an accident
Could've been hit and run but now
We're home without a doubt.
Can't find it now
So lost in how it used to be
Still finding out.
Always been a wild one
Trapped in a quiet sense of pride
Found a place to hide.
Never saw it coming
Crept in up on my blindside
Forever running out of time.
Can't find it now
So lost in how it could've been
Still finding out.

Major Misery
03:18
|
|||
He lives in a hole
With nowhere to go but down
He lives off the grease
Trapped in the crease of his frown.
Is there something wrong, is there something,
Something we should all know?
You've been acting strange for weeks now
Cracks are starting to show.
His life is a curse
And nothing is worse in this world.
He dreams of escape
And under the weight he implodes....
So sits home and screams
At the man in his dreams that knows
That life is a joke
That's seldom spoke and exposed
He's been acting strange for years now
Cracks are starting to show.
His beach is cast in cloudy sunshine
In hell it's starting to snow.
He'd love to go on a year's vacation
Knows he'll still come home
To a life of clear reminders
We all reap what we sow
He lives in a hole
With nowhere to go but down.

Running Out
04:09
|
|||
I've run out of words
Words to sing.
And I've run out of thoughts
Got no thoughts to bring.
But it's OK you said
There's always another day.
I've run out of time
It just slipped away
Well whatever it was
Was never meant to stay
But it's OK you said
There's always another way.
Now I've run out of road
Got no route to take
And I'm overexposed
And my heart might break
But it's OK you said
There's always another way
And any day you said
But I can't take the wait.
So give me a song
A song to sing.
At least just throw me a line
And we can see what it brings.
